Storehouse food bank is a project that aims to support families, couples and individuals in short term need of food and toiletries. Storehouse is based in the West Wilts Vineyard Church on Emmanuel's Yard, Church St Trowbridge and the opening hours are every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 10 - 12:30m. Debt Advice. A debt advice centre opened in November 17 and it has its own office in Stallard Street Trowbridge - it is open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. 07884952696
David’s Table Trust seeks to provide a Christian home for people with learning disabilities is supported by Prospects , a Christian charity supporting people with learning disabilities & Trowbridge Friends Link http://www.davidstable.co.uk/
Trowbridge Friends Link is a friendship group supported by the charity ‘Prospects’ to enable people with learning disabilities to live life to the full. The membership is currently 35, though in the 3 years they have been running they have touched the lives of at least 65 people.
Soup Run Every evening around 7pm people in need of food gather in the lower floor of Castle Place car park. Teams from various Trowbridge churches take turns to offer them food - for example soup, sandwiches and fruit.
Street Pastors are people drawn from different churches who (after training) go out into Trowbridge Town Centre usually between 10 - 2pm on a Saturday evening. They minister to people out late who are in need of a friendly face and some safe and sensible advice.
Trowbridge Chaplaincy has several volunteers who minister in the town centre on Wednesday mornings on market day.
Open the Book Teams go into several local schools to act out Bible stories in assemblies.
MenUnited Trowbridge Men from the Trowbridge area churches meet regularly to pray as well as to host breakfasts and curry evening at the Trowbridge Rugby Club. Church in the park - An annual occasion when the Trowbridge churches meet together in Trowbridge Park for a picnic and a time of joint worship and witness..
Living Nativity - An annual event in mid-December when the Christmas story is played out in the main shopping streets of the town .
Good Friday March - It is so wonderful to witness about our Saviour with this simple march throught town ending up with Hot Cross buns and coffee/tea.
